St. Anthony’s Feast … A Great Success!!!
Report from St. Anthony’s Feast Committee ChairPerson … Suzie Bressan
The Feast of St. Anthony was a wonderful celebration
enjoyed by many, many people. It is my pleasure to thank everyone who was
involved in making this celebration a success. To the ladies and men who
helped in the kitchen, to set up, and clean up, thanks for all your hard
work. To all those who donated baked goods, vegetables, fruits, sandwiches
and to all those who made cash donations thank you...we couldn't have done it
without you.
Thank you very much to the members of the choir and to Ron Brescacin for sharing his gift of music with us. To the Knights of Columbus, thank you for attending. To Bishop Plouffe, Fr. Paul Conway, Fr. Angelo Oliverio, thank you for sharing this celebration with us. We were happy to have you. To Fr. Eric, thank you very much for your ideas and support. You were with us every step of the way! To each and every committee and its members, thanks for all your hard work! It was great to have such a sense of cooperation and teamwork from everyone. Many people look forward to celebrating the feast of St. Anthony and it is fitting that we celebrated it at Our Lady of Mount Carmel. St. Anthony is particularly cherished by the Italian people. This annual procession is a reminder of our heritage and our faith. It reminds us, as St. Anthony would remind us, that we are not here to serve ourselves, but to serve others. Thanks again to everyone. You helped make this a successful celebration!!! Next year, as per the Bishop's request, the St. Anthony's Feast Celebration will be held at St. Gregory's Church.
