Good News "Under Construction"

• A couple of weeks ago cracks were noticed about mid-church in the ceiling.
• The area immediately under this area was isolated and Masses were moved temporarily to the basement for safety sake.
• In the intervening days the ceiling and structure have been inspected by a engineer.
• It was determined that there was no structural damage and that due to age and possible vibrations from surrounding excavations and construction the lathe-plaster had cracked and needs replacement and/or repairs.
• Bids were tendered last week and a contractor has been chosen.
• Work began on Saturday Nov 26th.

GOOD NEWS IS THAT THE WORK HAS PROGRESSED QUICKER THAN EXPECTED

 WORK WAS COMPLETED TODAY NOV 30th.

PARISH VOLUNTEERS ARE ALREADY BEING ORGANIZED TO DUST, CLEAN, 

THEN REINSTAL THE PEWS.

DUE TO GENEROUS DONATION OF TIME AND EFFORT BY NUMEROUS PARISHONERS
