Originally known as Church of Our Lady
Dedicated on Oct 17, 1910 as Most Holy Rosary Church
in 1936 we became Our Lady of Mount Carmel
Diocesan Archives state that we were the first Italian church to be opened for worship in Canada.

Our parish is old but vital, full of faith and has stood proudly as a Witness to Christ in the west end of Sault Ste Marie for over 99 years
